WasteBolt Bridge — Weighbridge to WTN, Automatically
WasteBolt Bridge is a small Windows desktop app that sits quietly in the background and watches a folder for CSV exports from your weighbridge software. When a new file arrives, Bridge reads each row and creates a WTN in WasteBolt automatically — no manual re-entry, no errors.
How It Works
Bridge is designed for sites where a weighbridge system already handles ticket creation and weight recording. Instead of re-entering the same data into WasteBolt manually, Bridge automates the connection between the two systems using the CSV export that most weighbridge software already produces.
How WasteBolt Bridge works
Once a CSV row is successfully submitted, the file is moved to a processed/ subfolder — so the same data is never submitted twice.
Setting Up WasteBolt Bridge
Setup takes around 10 minutes. You'll need your WasteBolt API key and a sample CSV file from your weighbridge software.
Download and install WasteBolt Bridge
Download the Bridge installer from your WasteBolt account (Settings → Integrations → WasteBolt Bridge) or from the link provided by your account manager. Run the installer — no admin rights required on most systems.
Enter your API key and site details
Open Bridge and go to Settings. Paste your WasteBolt API key (found in WasteBolt → Settings → API). Enter your site name and address — these auto-fill the producer or consignee section depending on the direction of transfer.
Set your watch folder
In Settings → Watch Folder, browse to the folder your weighbridge software exports CSV files to. Bridge will monitor this folder continuously. Configure the same path in your weighbridge software as its export destination.
Map your CSV columns
In Settings → Column Mapping, load a sample CSV file. Bridge shows you a table with each WTN field on the left and a dropdown on the right. For each row, select which column in your CSV contains that data. Sample values from your file are shown to help you verify the mapping.
Column Mapping — Settings → Column Mapping tab
★ Required fields must be mapped before syncing can start. Sample values are pulled from the first 3 rows of your CSV so you can verify the mapping is correct.
Save settings and start syncing
Click Save in Settings, then click Start Sync on the main screen. Bridge connects to WasteBolt, verifies your API key, and begins watching the folder. The status indicator turns green when ready. From this point, any CSV dropped in the folder is processed automatically.
Supported WTN Fields
Bridge can map the following fields from your CSV to the WTN. Any field left unmapped is either left blank or defaults to your site details.
