What Information Do You Need for a DWT Submission?
Every Digital Waste Tracking submission needs data about four things: the producer, the carrier, the receiver, and the waste itself. Here's the full checklist, and where each field lives in WasteBolt.
The Four Parts of a Submission
Four parties, every submission
Required Fields
These fields must be present for a record to submit successfully — miss one and it shows as an Error on the DWT page instead.
Optional / Situational Fields
These aren't needed on every submission, but apply depending on your waste type or process:
- Physical form of the waste (solid, liquid, sludge, gas)
- Hazard codes / hazardous properties (hazardous waste only)
- Container type and quantity
- Your own reference or ticket number
- Special handling requirements / instructions
Cut the Re-Typing With Pick Lists
Most of these fields — carrier licence numbers, receiver permits, EWC codes — don't change between WTNs for the same customer or waste stream. Set them up once in Pick Lists (or an Import Template if you're importing from a weighbridge) and WasteBolt fills them in automatically every time, so you're really only entering weight, vehicle, and date per load.
